Description
The Víti crater of the Krafla volcano near Lake Myvatn. Víti apparently means "hell" in Iceland. You can guess why the crater is named in this fashion (there's more than one Víti crater in Iceland).
Though I did not know it at the time, the last eruption at this crater, according to Wikipedia, was in 1976. [link]
